Heather Moorhead

Heather Moorhead is the Chair of ESC and the Chief Executive of NILGA (Northern Ireland Local Government Association). She brings her experience of working at a high strategic level in Northern Ireland to ESC.
Moyra Richardson

Moyra Richardson is Secretary of ESC and an English teacher at Wallace High in Lisburn as well as being a part-time counsellor and full-time mum


Bill Smith is Treasurer of ESC and is an independent advisor on issues of public policy and administration.He brings extensive experience of working with the public sector and non-profit agencies to ESC.


Ruth Gray Ruth Gray is a dentist with HMP Hydebank Wood and is interested in developing further links between ESC and prisons.


Professor Mark Burnett

Professor Mark Burnett, Professor of Renaissance studies at Queen's University has recently volunteered to be on the ESC board. Mark will also head up the education sub-committee who are working on producing an education pack for schools, further education colleges and universities to complement Mickey B.
Ken Humphrey



Ken Humphrey,
after running the Mornington Community Project in Lower Ormeau in Belfast for many years, Ken now attempts to bridge the gap between churches and social justice through his work as a Regional Training and Development Officer with CCWA (Churches Community Work Alliance). Ken worked with Tom Magill in projects with young people in Mornington before becoming interested in the work of ESC as a whole.



Emma Cooper is an associate in the Commercial Property Department at Carson McDowell in Belfast. She brings a wealth of experience and legal expertise to ESC’s board. She is part of Arts & Business’ Young Professionals Programme. She is currently on Maternity Leave
