Simon Wood

Simon Wood is a Filmmaker.

Simon has worked as a filmmaker for 30 years. He has produced and directed numerous documentaries, corporate videos, drama pieces and community video. He is an experienced sound engineer and editor working in fiction and documentary production. His credits include productions for BBC, Channel 4, UTV, RTE and TG4.

Simon co-founded Northern Visions (a grass roots Media Centre) in 1980 and is Chair of the board of directors. Simon has worked as a film tutor in the Education Department at Maghaberry Prison for 5 years with Tom Magill. Simon has been active in the film trade union BECTU since 1982.
