Tom Magill

Tom Magill heads the ESC team.

Tom left school at 15 with no hope or qualifications. Ten years later he turned his life around through drama and became a Fringe First winning actor. He had an impressive career in theatre and television before Yulisa Amadu Maddy and Michael Bogdanov encouraged him to turn his talents towards directing.

Tom co-founded ESC and directs the company, using his wide experience to run workshops and courses. He encourages people to explore their own stories through the medium of film. He currently writes and directs ESC’s films.

Tom is a specialist in Forum Theatre and is Nobel Prize nominee Augusto Boal’s representative in Northern Ireland. His ambition is to continue using his own life experience to inspire others to transform their lives through unlocking their creativity.
