VALUES

ESC is committed to valuing and respecting the individual contributions made by each of our volunteers and to seeking to support and build up each volunteer.

ESC values the involvement of volunteers in our work because they help reflect the interests, needs and experiences of the diverse community we serve. Each individual brings their own specific life experiences and skills to the organization and helps shape a unique perspective on all our work.

ESC consists of several groups of people. Everyone is vital to the work as a whole from the staff and the board to all of the volunteers. ESC recognizes that the volunteers have a distinct role, as part of the team alongside paid staff.

ESC is determined that the volunteering experience should be a win-win for the organization and volunteers alike.

ESC is an Equal Opportunities Employer and extends its values to all of its volunteers. It is our policy to provide volunteering equality to all, irrespective of: Gender, marital or family status, Religious belief or political opinion, Disability, Race or ethnic origin, Nationality, Sexual orientation, Age or Criminal record (although there may be restrictions on the work available to certain types of offenders).
